EDUCATIONAL STATEMENT
I am a passionate educator with over 15 years of experience, committed to using education as a tool for liberation, healing, and transformation. My approach is grounded in the belief that education must serve the whole child—their intellectual, emotional, cultural, and psychological well-being—and that it must extend beyond the classroom to uplift families and communities.

Though I began my career as a classroom teacher, my journey has evolved into education consulting, where I support educators—particularly in grades K-2—in developing responsive, inclusive, and empowering practices. I specialize in Math and Literacy curriculum implementation and adaptation for children with special needs, and I center my work in frameworks such as Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Restorative Practices, and Culturally Responsive and Sustaining Education (CR-SE).
My work is fueled by a deep commitment to decolonizing educational systems and connecting educators across the African Diaspora in collective service of justice and liberation. I believe that when we teach with intention, cultural pride, and a sense of community care, we not only educate—we heal, we empower, and we transform.
